Mini iPad and iPad 3 review Mini iPad and iPad 3 review(0)

Reports about the possible launch of a smaller version of iPad by Apple are pouring in and it is expected that Apple would not only launch mini iPad , but would also grace the event with the launch of an A6-equipped iPad 3. The report emerged on a tech blog whose source happens to be a developer who claims to have seen an iPad 3,6 in its app analytics software. As expected, there is no official confirmation from Apple about either of the two devices. Interestingly, the current versions of iPad 3 have emerged as iPad3,1; iPad 3,2; and iPad 3,3 in most analytics software and since each entry is about a different version of iPad depending upon the carrier, the emergence of iPad3,6 in analytics software might indicate a new version. However, the same tech sources also said that iPad 3 with an A6 processor was always expected to carry the name of iPad 4,x. Besides, since mini iPad is expected to use the hardware of iPad 2, the analytics entry about it happens to be iPad 2,6. Launch of an updated version of iPad 3 equipped with A6 processor, in addition to the launch of a mini iPad, makes perfect sense in the intensifying competition of the tablet market. Closest competitors of iPad include Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7, with the expectation of Microsoft Surface tablet joining the bandwagon pretty soon. The trend of smaller tablets was made popular by Amazon with the launch of its 7 inch Kindle Fire with impressive specs and a reasonable price of $199. Although Amazon was not able to supersede the market dominance of Apple, it significantly captured the tablet market share. Late CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, denied that Apple would consider the launch of a smaller iPad but the immense success of Kindle Fire made Apple rethink its stance. After Amazon, Google also recently launched its 7 inch tablet, Nexus 7, running the latest version of Android called Jelly bean. This tablet also proved to be highly popular providing access to more apps compared to Kindle Fire. Besides, Microsoft would also soon plunge in the domain of tablets with the official launch of its Surface tablet whose price is expected to be inline with the high end iPad models. With the approaching holiday season, some also believe that Apple might not be able to fulfill the immense demand for the mini iPad which would result in reduced profit for Apple.

Apple is drastically lowering the price of the previous versions of iPad Apple is drastically lowering the price of the previous versions of iPad(0)

Now that the new iPad was released everyone would want to have it particularly when it is quite reasonably priced. But it seems that Apple would make sure that the older versions of iPad keep selling and for this, Apple is drastically lowering the price of the previous versions. During the last Apple event during which the new iPad was announced, it was also announced that Apple would continue the sale of the previous version of iPad on a lower price. Apparently this move was a result of the constantly increasing competition in the market of the mobile devices.

The new iPad is no doubt a worth having gadget in the presence of amazing specs such as Retina display, iSight camera and faster A5X processor. The price of new iPad would start from $499 just like the previous version when it was released last year. But still, if your budget is constrained and you can’t really afford to go for this latest version, you don’t need to worry since the price of the previous version has been drastically lowered. If you go to the special deals sections on Apple’s online store, you would find some amazing offers there. For example, you can purchase a WiFi, 16 GB OG iPad with a nominal price of just $299. But what is even more amazing, with the addition of merely 50 more bucks, you can actually get you hands on a second generation iPad with 16 GB storage. Further, if you happen to be a premium user, there is even more attractive offer for you. For premium users, the store has a special offer of 64 GB Wifi and 3G version of iPad 2 for $679. Good thing is that all these devices are accompanied with a one year warranty. Interestingly, there are rumors that soon another tablet with a jaw-dropping price of just $129 would be made available on the online store, although it has not arrived as yet.

This is certainly a wise and timely move from Apple. Although Apple is still at the top of the tablet market and iPad happens to be the most popular tablet of all time, Android tablets has been giving tough competition to Apple for the last couple of years. Keeping this in consideration, Apple really needed to bring something extra to retain its position in the market, and the above offers are a manifestation of steps in this direction. Further, Apple is also expected to release a mini iPad, which would be a 7 inch device, to compete smaller tablets such as Amazon Kindle Fire and Galaxy Tab 7.

Rumors : the resolution of iPad 3 would be twice that of iPad 2 Rumors : the resolution of iPad 3 would be twice that of iPad 2(0)

There is little doubt to the news that iPad 3 would be announced in the first ten days of March, most probably on 7th  of March. With this expectation, the ongoing process of rumors and speculations about iPad 3 has also considerably accelerated. A more recent piece of information has revealed that the resolution of iPad 3 would be twice that of iPad 2. The sources claiming this information have claimed to have obtained OEM LCD screen displays that are being used in the manufacture process of iPad 3. These displays were not powered on but were thoroughly and closely examined with the help of microscope and this examination revealed that the screen resolution of these displays is indeed about double the resolution of iPad 2. We find the clusters of 2×2 pixels on iPad 2 but there are clusters of 4×4 pixels on these displays which clearly mean double resolution. Overall, this means a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels compared to the resolution of 1024×768 on iPad 2.

Now this is not very surprising and unexpected news since already almost everyone was dead sure that Retina Display would be among the most important and integral features of the next model of Apple tablet. Retina Display is the highest possible resolution that has so far been achieved on any tablet or smart phone and was already showcased on iPhone 4S so it was quite reasonable that it now appeared on iPad 3. The distinguishing feature of Retina Display is that the individual pixels are not visible from normal viewing distance and hence the resolution is perfect. From the point of view of the developers, Retina Display means doubling the resolution of the graphics of the games and other apps that would be developed for these devices.

Other than Retina Display, there are also several other noteworthy features that we expect to be part of the next model of iPad. Most importantly, we expect that it would be equipped with a faster A6 processor and would also have support for LTE networks. There are Android tablets with LTE support in the market so Apple should really consider releasing tablet with this support now. And if iPad 3 comes with this support, it would also need to have a larger battery and hence longer battery life. Let’s just wait for a couple of weeks and see what Apple actually gives us on iPad 3.

The battery life of iPad 3 would be significantly longer than that of iPad 2 The battery life of iPad 3 would be significantly longer than that of iPad 2(0)

From iPad 3 release date to the technical specifications and price of this remarkable piece of technology, everything is the part of rumors and wild guesses these days. But this is among the distinctive features of grand Apple products; they have a lot of hype and rumors surrounding them. There are a lot of photos of iPad 3 circulating over the internet. Some of them really seem to have some tint of reality while others seem to be just a flight of fancy. Recently, some new photographs of iPad 3 have emerged over the internet showing the internal structure of the famed device. Some internal hardware components of iPad 3 seem to be quite visible in this photograph. The most revealing aspect, however, was that the battery of the next version of iPad seems to be considerably larger than that of the previous version, which clearly indicates that the battery life of iPad 3 would be significantly longer than that of iPad 2. The internal structure of camera also seems to be different but it is quite difficult to infer the details about the camera just by seeing at the internal structure. There would also be some differences in the LCD of the device.

As the iPad 3 release date is getting closer, such rumors and revealed inside details are increasingly appearing over the internet. We can’t say anything for sure about the authenticity of these details or the reliability of the resources. The rumor about the bigger battery life, however, makes perfect sense since what we are hearing is that iPad 3 would be equipped with the famed Retina Display and if it is true, it is certainly going to require a much powerful battery. Apple likes to keep things highly secret and we can know for sure about the hardware components and software specifications only after the device is actually released or officially announced by Apple. This is expected to happen some time in March, although no official release date of iPad 3 has been announced by Apple as yet. Previously, there were rumors that Apple might choose 24th of February to announce iPad 3 since that is the birthday of Steve Jobs but due to the problems in the manufacturing of the devices, this does not seem to be a very viable idea now. The release date of iPad 3 seems to be somewhere in the last weak of March. Lots of people are waiting the moment to buy iPad 3 and take benefit of its features. March it’s just around the corner.

iPad 3 would be thinner than the previous version iPad 3 would be thinner than the previous version(0)

Rumors about iPad 3 are on rise these days and almost every week we hear one thing or other about the possible iPad 3 technical specs. Now according to the latest speculation, the next model of iPad would be thinner than the previous version which is because of the use of IGZO panels. According to Digitimes, inside sources have revealed that Apple would be using the IGZO flat panels in the upcoming iPads instead of using the usual IPS panels, which were part of iPad 2. For this purpose, Apple might form collaboration with Japanese based firm Sharp which introduced the IGZO technology. These panels would be used to facilitate the Retina Display which would finally be made part of Apple tablet. There are several firms developing the IGZO panels but a lot of uncertainty exists when it comes to the yield rates of these panels. Previously, there were rumors that iPad 3 would be thicker than the previous models of iPad. Now, however, if this rumor is correct the case would be quite opposite. At present, it does seem that the display of the upcoming model of iPad is the most talked about spec of iPad 3. To buy iPad 3, you might have to wait for a couple of months since it is expected that the device would be released in the first quarter of 2012.

Apple might release iPad3 on February Apple might release iPad3 on February(0)

There is  lot of anticipation and hype about the next grand product from Apple, iPad 3. Accoridng to Citi analyst Richard Gardner, Apple might release iPad 3 as soon as next February which means only after a couple of months. Some of the exciting features that we would be able to see on this new model of iPad would be the famous Retine Display which was made part of iPhone 4, an enhanced processor and probably Siri as well. The inclusion of Siri, however, is not confirmed as yet. Retine Display would be the maximum pixel density that could be attained on a tablet device. Accoridng to tech experts, Retina Display would certainly be a huge step forward in the area of pixel density and would be a feature worth trying. At present, the pixel density of iPhone 4S happens to be 326 pixels per inch. Although attaining this pixel density in itself is not a major problem, the development of devices on massive scale with this feature would certainly be a huge task. Previously, the release of iPad 3 was expected some time in April of 2012 but now it appears that Apple would be ready to release this coveted device earlier than expected. With iPad 3 and iPhone 5, the first quarter of 2012 would certainly be grand for Apple enthusiasts.

iPad3 the most anticipated device iPad3 the most anticipated device(0)

Among the tablet devices, iPad3 happens to be the most highly anticipated device but it won’t be released before February or March of 2012. Among the most noteworthy features of this amazing piece of technology, the 10-inch-class screen is worth mentioning. This would no doubt be a highly innovative addition, but according to most of the experts, it won’t be an easy task to actually implement this functionality.

Retina Display feature, which has already appeared on iPhone4, would be made part of  iPad3. Besides, the display of the device would also be considerably improved. The pixel density is something that is expected to be enormously improved in the upcoming version. According to a source, the pixel density of this device might be as high as 2,048×1,536 which is certainly enormous. This means a PPI of 264 which is twice as compared to that on iPad2. An alternate option of pixel density is also 1,600×1,200 which is still quite high. If this is actually implemented, Apple’s device would be far ahead of the competitors, although at present the tablet device with highest pixel density happens to be the 7 inch version of Samsung Galaxy Tab. Let’s wait and see what Apple actually succeeds in implementing.

iPad3 to use Samsung A6 processor iPad3 to use Samsung A6 processor(0)

According to the latest news about the highly anticipated iPad 3 and iPhone 5, these products would be utilizing Samsung produced A6 processor despite the legal battle that is going on between Apple and Samsung. Rumor has it that the next generation version of iPad 3 has already entered in the production phase and would be released by the March of next year. According to the inside sources Apple has been negotiating Samsung about the shipment of the A6 processors which would be used in the upcoming iProducts of Apple.

The A6 processor which would be used in iPad3 is perhaps the most talked about feature of the tablet, along with the Retina Display feature. The feature of Retina Display has already been used in iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S and the demand of this feature on tablet is quite high. Apple has also hinted an improved camera and improved battery life for the next version of the most famous tablet device so far. So what it means is that collaboration between Apple and Samsung on the A6 processors would continue even though the legal battle between the two giants has not ceased as yet.
