Panasonic presents a 20-inch tablet running Windows 8 Panasonic presents a 20-inch tablet running Windows 8(0)

Panasonic’s 4K Windows 8 tablet has to be one of the finest products from the company in recent years. Introduced during the CES 2013 a few days ago, this tablet has all the potential to become one of the best tablets of 2013. However, Panasonic has followed its tradition of targeting specific audiences and like the three other tablets from the ToughPad Series, this would also be for a specific group of audience.

Equipped with an amazing 3820 by 2560 pixel IPS display, this would be the first 20inch tablet of the world with 4K resolution. The tablet has an aspect ratio of 15:10 and has a pixel density of 230 ppi. This pixel density is not as high as iPad (264ppi) but is certainly higher than many other quality tablets in the market, including Google Nexus 7, whose pixel density is 216ppi.

The tablet is powered by 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 3427U vPro processor and has a default RAM memory of 4GB. The RAM memory can be expanded up to 16GB. Internal storage capacity of the tablet is 128GB. Another very interesting aspect of the tablet is its thickness which is less than many Windows and Android tablets in the market, Panasonic tablet having physical dimensions of 18.7 by 13.1 by 0.4 inches. Although the size of the tablet is considerably larger than any other tablet in the market, it still feels quite light and is easy to carry around, although not as easy as an average tablet.

There is a USB 2.0 port on the tablet and expectations are that it would be upgraded to USB 3.0 port once the device is released. There is still much to know about this remarkable device but detailed information has not been released as yet. Panasonic has so far also not announced the exact release date and price of the tablet. The target audiences of this tablet are people like photographers, videographers, and architects. An additional feature is that the tablet has support for light pen from Anoto, which you can use to write and draw on the display.

According to Panasonic’s director of product management, Kyp Walls, the company is looking for the right customer set for the tablet and most probably the device would be released later this year.

“First Impression” Teaser shows off S2 and S1 “First Impression” Teaser shows off S2 and S1(0)

A teaser running 2 minutes had just been leaked showing both S2 and S1. There was not much enthusiasm in it, but what is important is the view of the two tablets and what is more surprising is to see the S2 with hinges.
A few weeks ago, the Sony S2 technical specification has been revealed somehow. The most significant thing quoted by then was that it is running Android Honeycomb 3.0 aside from its totally handy size of only 5.5 inch with a 1024 x 480 resolution that allows folks the clearest screen view. Other than that it was also said that Sony S2 will come packed with a Dual Core, NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor for exquisite gaming sensation and will support HTML, XTML web browsing as well as WI-Fi functionality. In addition, it offers various exciting applications such as Calendar, Alarms, Calculator, along with Mp3 Player that filters by Album, Artist, and Playlist featuring Album art cover, Preset equalizer, and Background playback. What is not said is that the tablet will have hinges. In this case, the Sony S2 is like that of Kyocera Echo, as shown by the teaser, in terms with its dual-screen setup but was it a bit appalling about the tablet is that it divides the screen image up and down. For instance, in viewing a news page would cut it in the middle so that the top page appears on the upper part of the tablet while the lower page appears in the lower part. The hinges are a bit disturbing somehow but what is an advantage is that it can be folded and can easily be brought along.
The Sony S1 is way better than the latter. The Sony S1 technical specification then as revealed by the “First Impression” teaser boasts 9.4 inch screen which is also running Android Honeycomb 3.0.The best thing about it is that it is PlayStation certified that comes packed with NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with a WI-Fi and DLNA functionality. The size of the tablet alone allows one to take pleasure in viewing video comfortably undisturbed especially that it also features a 1280×800 pixels resolution.
For folks who like to buy Sony S1 or S2, the released date is expected on September. The opportunity for preorder has not been reported yet, which means Sony lovers have to remain patiently waiting for a bit. The good news is that folks still have a lot of time to save money for Sony S1 price which will be $599 and the Sony S2 price at$699.

A new ad was suddenly spotted by droid-life at Verizon Wireless showing a new tablet held by a brunette lady. Having the back side of the tablet shown in front of the camera, it looks like that the tablet is Motorola Xoom or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. As it continued to roll in the site, more guesses were made but whichever it may be, no one was able to guess what the tablet’s name was nor the tablet had appeared and seen before. Some also pondered that it might be the long-desired HTC Honeycomb tablet for Verizon users. In this case it might be possible because later on the video was pulled out.
Just as the video sprung up, the tablet in the video seemed to match the Motorola Xoom technical specifications. You can see how the lady holds the tablet in the video. However, you have to note that the Motorola Xoom is not the only living 10-incher tablet. Assert that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 also have the same size with the Motorola Xoom which supports the possibility that it could also be it. As both tablet were running Android Honeycomb just like the Verizon tablet, you could not stopped wondering which of the two tablets it is named after.
While folks are busy updating their list whether to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or buy Motorola Xoom, the Verizon Wireless advertisement must not simply mean nothing to the company itself. Note that there has also been a humor of the upcoming HTC Honeycomb by Verizon. The fact that the Verizon made the ad private after speculations grew suggests that there must be something to be covered. You just have to figure it out on the video Droid-life had captured or ponder on the story as well as keep pace with the latest tablet news. Also remember that the video has already been kept private, so one cannot access t on YouTube.
The ad simply puts another thrilling experience in the lives of tablet savvies, especially that some might have already grasped the power to match the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom price and now, there appears a new advertisement of a mysterious tablet. So what if the Verizon Video suddenly confirms the new tablet after one has already bought the other tablet? Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1video(18)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is now out on sale in some countries particularly in Germany and Australia, but not in US yet. Why? It is because the US version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch Tablet has its release date set by 8th of June.

To settle some confusion between these two versions, here are some points of differences that would enlighten each and every Samsung Tablet fans.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is the successor of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 inches version. It was introduced during the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Spain. Weeks after the event following the release of iPad 2, Samsung VP announced that their 10.1 is to thick compared with iPad 2 and Samsung revealed another two new additional Tablets on its product line, measuring 8.9 inches and 10.1 inches, both named Samsung Galaxy Tab as well, both of them thinner than any other Tablet PC.

Of course, the production of initial 10 inch Galaxy Tab continued due to the effort and money spent until then, and 10.1v was finally launched in Australia and Germany. Samsung didn’t say if both 10.1 inch models will be sold in the same time or this model will be out from stores after release date of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It’s less than one month and we will find out.

Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v and you will get a Tablet with wider screen measuring 10.1 inches, much bigger than the first Samsung Tablet measuring 7.0 inches.

One advantage for choosing 10.1v over the 10.1 is the larger camera capacity. The 10.1v has 8.0 MP while 10.1 has only 3 MP. Whatever the reason or strategy behind, Samsung has not yet declared such difference. In terms of dimension, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is thicker by few millimeters, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 0.33 inch thin.

It is run by Android 3.0 Honeycomb as operating system and is powered by 1GHz dual core processor,a good combination to provide high speed Internet browsing and Tablet experience.

In terms of pricing, Australia Vodafone has set the following Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v price, AU$729 for prepaid subscribers inclusive of 6GB data valid for three months, AU$259 for 12 month contract with plans as low as AU$39 for 1.5 GB data inclusion or FREE for 24 month contract of the same plans. On the other hand, Vodafone in Germany has not yet declared specific Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v price, but some posts tell that people can buy it at around 600 Euros for the device alone.

Bellow 2 videos with hands on both of these 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab models. Enjoy and spot the difference.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 arrives to US market by June 8 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 arrives to US market by June 8video(1)

8th of June is the day that US Tablet fans are waiting for to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the thinnest Tablet in the world so far. During the CTIA in Orlando, Florida, Samsung unveiled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 together with its smaller sibling, the Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, a Wi-Fi only version will soon be available on sale as third quarter of this year enters. This handy device is run by Android 3.0 Honeycomb and powered by 1GHz dual core processor, combined to work and give a great computing experience that no other Tablets can give to Tablet fans.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 technical specifications are really breath taking and Tablet fans could not easily resist from; it is slimmer than an iPad, more application download friendly as it uses Android platform and lighter making it indeed a handy device. The 1280 x 800 resolution promises a high definition quality video playback experience. The 8.0 megapixel camera built in Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the largest pixel among Tablet cameras so far.

In terms of connectivity, it may be Wi-Fi only version, but it does support Bluetooth and HSPA network with speed up to 21Mbps. With such capability, file sharing and internet access is no longer a puzzle when you buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

This handy device is impressively smaller and lighter than iPad 2, measuring 8.6mm thin and weighing 595 grams only. With such measurements, iPad 2 must have been really shocked with Samsung’s capability to compete with them in the Tablet ring of war. Apple is probably preparing iPad 3 to raise the bar again.

In terms of pricing, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 price will be near or similar to that of its closest competitor, iPad 2. This Samsung Galaxy Wi-Fi version is initially priced at $399, lower than iPad and same with Eee Pad Transformer – another competitor.
