Motorola has decided to give updates to its tablets, XYBOARD and XOOM

After quite a pause, Motorola has decided to give updates to its tablets, Motorola XYBOARD and Motorola XOOM. Both 8.2 and 10.1 versions of XYBOARD tablet and the 4G LTE Xoom tablet would have the software updates which would result in extra features as well as the removal of minor bugs present in the previous versions. The software updates for both versions of the XYBOARD would be the same, with the only exception that the 10.1 inch version would have an additional feature of support for stylus touch response time. Important software updates for Motorola Xoom would include maintenance update for international travel and improved data connections. On the other hand, software updates for XYBOARD would include enhanced browsing experience and the ability to maintain the current data connection while switching between Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G networks. The Daily App would be among the default apps coming with the device. Certain improvements in the email and messaging services have also been made according to which links can be opened in the emails without the system rebooting.

An important update released for Motorola Xoom includes International Mobile Subscriber Identities for users who would be traveling between countries and another update to maintain and re-establish the data connection while leaving the airplane mode. However, the updates released for Motorola Xoom are less compared to those released for other tablets. Xoom was released about a year ago, in February 2011, and at that time it was certainly one of the very best Android tablets in the market. Some of the noteworthy technical specs of this tablet include dual-core processor, graphics processor and 1GB of RAM memory. On the other hand, both versions of DROID XYBOARD tablets were released later in 2011. These tablets also showcase some pretty impressive specs. The 10.1 inch version of these tablets comes with a weight of about two pounds and a powerful 7000mAh battery that can support standby time of about 1000 hours. The screen resolution for this tablet happens to be 1280×800 resolution while the pixel density is 149 ppi. Internal memory of this device is 64 GB, but there is no support for microSD card so memory cannot be expanded any further. This version of the tablet is available for orders on the official website of Motorola where you can buy this device at a price of $499.99.
